NUTRITION PROGRAMS 2021-22

Distribution of rations for Covid:   

• A handful of people were provided rations between April and June 2021, during the second wave. The the large scale food distribution of 2020, was followed up with a limited distribution to people whose needs had been vetted.
• Milk was distributed to 300 children in Wazirpur for 9 days during May 2021 during the severe second wave. These were the same children that had been provided milk during the first lock-down.

Support for a young widow in need:  
Milk was provided for  2 months during summer 2021 to a recently widowed young woman who had no means of earning. We also obtained a donation for 90% of the cost of a sewing machine for her with the
balance 10% paid by her. This has allowed her to be an entrepreneur and is on her way to making a steady income.

Support for cancer patient: A one time donation of one lac was used to support a 16 year old cancer patient for nutrition and medicines during second half of 2021. He is now disease free.
